Everything You Need To Know About Art Basel

Art Basel Miami has become one of the biggest art events of the year. From world renowned galleries represented at top art fairs, exhibits, openings and parties - Art Basel is the place to see and be seen. Our favorite interior design gal Sarah Holland shares her experiences, while wearing designer pieces from Reverie:

Checking out Art Basel this year was so amazing - being there for a quick weekend, there was no time to spare! On Friday night, I attended the launch party at the Shore Club for Douglas Elliman's new luxury lifestyle publication Elevate Magazine

Wearing a Silk Star romper by Reverie. What great attention to detail! I love the gorgeous oversized Swarovski crystals on the drawstring and straps!

The Shore Club space was curated as a hidden garden art exhibit that continued into the bungalow room with a contemporary art exhibit created by Kipton Cronkite.

I also popped by Soho House, the design of this outdoor scene is so unique and has perfect beach vibes.

Soho House Miami
On Saturday I had fun checking out the DesignMiami exhibit - a global forum that features galleries, designers and curators. DesignMiami features a unique synergy of art, furniture and design from the top art community.

After DesignMiami - I was sure to stroll through the Miami Botanical gardens that featured an outdoor installation by Moroso, an iconic Italian furniture manufacturer. I wore a colorful Silk printed Top from Reverie Resort 2015 collection.

It was so nice seeing my dearest friend Melissa Fornabia, a local South Beach Holistic specialist. I love Melissa’s B12 injections - her unique vitamin complex keeps you energized and your skin looking amazing! Check her out at Holistic Medicine by M

We had a fabulous time at the Cavalli Restaurant, followed by an event at the upstairs club. Love the design and cuisine at Cavalli Club Miami - and everyone there is so wonderful!

Moschino at Alchemist Miami
On Sunday, I soaked up what was left of Art Basel by stopping at the edgy fashion boutique Alchemist - which featured furniture by Moroso and Moschino and all the latest and greatest collections from around the world.

I stopped by Coltorti, a really amazing boutique that featured European high fashion pieces. Fashion photography capsule exhibit "Under My Skin" for Art Basel of Sogni Lucidi by Italian Photographer Lucia Giacani

A special thank you to Reverie, love your pieces Ronit!

Last Minute Holiday Gifts for Cool Kids

The holidays are coming up fast, so it's time to buy some gifts! We selected a few sweet finds that any cool girl would want.

First, we have a fun everyday scarf, a personal favorite of ours, or a not-so-everyday snood:

Fluffy Star Scarf by Scotch and Soda, Sequin Snood by Haute Hippie.

Don't leave home without a Reverie clutch!

When you leave home with your Reverie clutch, pair it with some sweet blue suede shoes from Freda Salvador, complete with detachable ankle bracelets! Another great gift for a special someone!

At this point, it's officially sweater weather. We love the Maraz sweater from Allsaints.

The M.Dot Design Studio's Mau Angle lobe cuff makes an awesome stocking stuffer!

We also found some great gifts for the cool home...

The Pyro Pet is sure to grab attention, this Icelandic cat candle won the "Best Product" award at the NY International Gift Fair. Light the candle, and the cat slowly burns down to a creepy skeleton.
The only thing is it's so cute you may not want to let it burn!

Lastly, this longneck dinosaur planter is a prefect gift for a quirky home. If you are the crafty type or you don't have so much cash to burn, and you still have your childhood plastic dinosaurs you can make them yourself too!

My Secret Garden

Sometimes the best things come in the smallest packages.
We instantly fell for these incredibly detailed terrariums, all from Shu's Flower shop on Mulberry Street in Nolita, NYC. Each piece created in the shop contains a world of its own and tells a unique story. You can choose from ready made pieces in the store or they can also create custom-made arrangements.

We love the variety of shapes and sizes of each glass container, some even locally hand crafted and completely one of a kind. If you are in the mood for something more hands on, there is also a DIY version by Twig.  This complete kit includes all the materials for making your own creation, spotted at Wave Hill, a beautiful Garden and Cultural Center located off the Hudson River, perfect for a stroll through the gardens for a little inspiration.

Meet the Makers & Shakers @ Young & Able Pop-Up Shop

We were so excited when one of our favorite online shops, Young & Able opened a Holiday pop-up shop in downtown Manhattan. Check out the coolest emerging designers and independent makers and we love reading about each designer and sharing their stories. The shop is also hosting great events, installations and workshops, so you can meet the designers in person. Here are some of our favorites finds, but hurry - the pop up shop will close its door December 21!
