Rock On

Natural minerals are said to have healing powers, but they also inspire our every day lives. From jewelry, to accessories and home the colors and textures are a stunning reminder that nature is quite remarkable.

Concept & Life Style Boutiques - West Coast Edition

Concept and Lifestyle boutiques have become a big trend, trying to attract people into traditional brick and mortar stores back from online shopping. By creating a mood and point of view, boutiques invite shoppers into a intimate setting and create an enchanting world to experience and shop.

On the West Coast, we found San Francisco has amazing lifestyle boutiques.  In tune with the vibe of SF, they take inspiration from nature and carry great heritage brands. Here are some of our favorites:

Reliquary, owned by Leah Bershad is a well curated yet whimsical boutique in Hayes Valley. The boutique has hand picked apparel and accessories for men and women as well as perfumes, hand made pottery, and beautiful folk art. Our favorites were a beautiful pair of arrow head earrings and a miniature log burning kit.

The Voyager, on Valencia street in the Mission, is a retail collaboration between the SF boutique Revolver and Austin, Texas boutique Spartan. The boutique is filled with beach and surf inspired apparel for men and women, home goods and unique accessories. Here we were particularly drawn to Faye Kendall's pony hair necklaces and all the cozy knits.

Paxton Gate, also on Valencia is another gem. This store has been around for over twenty years and doubles as a green house. It contains endless treasures and oddities and is inspired by science and gardens. They carry everything from taxidermy, to exotic terrariums, to local handmade jewelry. Our favorite items were their selection of framed luminescent butterflies and illustrated flora & fauna books.

SF Rocks it Night to Day

For the New Year's holiday weekend we scoped out the local
night life scene in San Francisco.

We spotted these stylish bowlers at the Mission Bowling Club.
We loved the washed out pink Hawaiian shirt and noticed a great
black & red stars and stripe sweater.

At the local bar, Kilowatt this stylish girl shooting pool rocked her mini dress with snake platform boots. At the SOMA magazine launch party, we spotted this great Pop Art high waisted skirt with black crop top. She styled it right with her top knot and simple black boots.

San Franciscans also keep it fresh during the day whether it's in the park
or riding the train. This commuter's heart printed hat matched his kicks and
made us smile. These two girls were too cute strolling through Golden Gate Park.
